Harvesting  Crop and Deliveries
By the end of week 19, about 33.9% of the new crop of Southern Sumatra Robusta (equal to about 37,740 Mton) has been harvested and about 24,178 Mton have been delivered where about 17,578 Mton were delivered to Lampung and the rest delivered to other areas and/or delivered to local roasters.

If we compare total deliveries to Bandar Lampung of this new crop for the same duration (7 weeks from the starting of deliveries), we knew that total delivery of this new crop is higher than last crop year. It is to confirm that crop production for this year will be higher than last year, and the farmers delivered their first crop immediately due to the harvesting delayed for about one month.

Supply & Demand
Total export of Southern Sumatra Robusta from Panjang Port in Apr-2015 (25,197 Mton) is about 43.5% higher than total export during Mar-15 (17,561Mton) and this is much higher (about 212.8%) than a year ago in Apr-14 (8,055 Mton).
For the year-on-year (YoY) of Apr-15 (255,817 Mton), it is about 33.2% lower than YoY of Apr-14 which was about 344,384 Mton.

Weather
Rainfall intensity until the second week of May 2015 in coffee plantation area (lowland and highland South Sumatra), starting lower from the previous month so that farmers began to harvest crops because cherry already ripening.  According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG), Southern Sumatra began to enter the dry season, although the dry season that does not mean there is no rain, the weather is generally hot in the morning and rain generally begin the afternoon or evening with a low to moderate intensity and it is not affect on the process of drying coffee cherries.
